Nigel Evans, Member of Parliament for the Ribble Valley has today urged people in the Ribble Valley to contact family members who live abroad and urge them to register to vote at the next General Election. Mr Evans said, “Now is the perfect time to register. If people have been abroad for less than 15 years then they are still entitled to vote in UK General Elections. It does not matter what political party you support - the only thing that matters is that as many people as possible exercise their democratic right. “So if anybody has family members that are abroad and who are not registered to vote, I strongly urge you to contact them and remind them that their say and vote is hugely important.” |
